He was charged with 3rd degree assault and his life has been ruined. A 21 year old man charged with assault. He was being harassed by his probation officer. I mean, his probation officer would give him a list of 20 things to do and laugh and say, you know there is no possible way to get all this done so lucky me, I'll throw you in jail for non compliance, he would say things like, Oh you got a job, well I better put you in jail so you can't work or pay restitution then you'll be in violation. Etc. Etc. Etc. His mother contacted the governor of the state of Washington to report this abuse of power and the governors office assured her that there would be no retaliation because she was exercising her right as a citizen.....well, guess what. Now it's worse and every day this young man goes to the probation office, does exactly what he's told and is yelled at and threatened and told that go ahead tell your mommy so she can report me. Is there anything that can be done. This is truly a bizarre and unjustly act on their part. The mom plans to contact the governors office again because things are already so bad that they couldn't get worse. Is there anyone else to report to. Don't say his supervisor because they are best of friends. This is a small town called Cowlitz County in Kelso/Longview, Wa. Very strange place and they make up their own rules as they go along and everyone knows everyone so it's nearly impossible to get justice.... Read More »
